The small contrast and the overlayed white layer give an eerie impression to the whole image and soften it. The flowers overlayed with the shadow of Claires head are a bit disturbing but nonetheless, the effect is interesting.
I also like your usage of the Black/White (or Good/Bad) theme here. It's a welcome duality.
