...since the last time I wrote a personal update journal,
so...
hi!
I kind of suck at the whole "sharing my life" bit, because I honestly can't see how anyone (whom I don't already know or speak to personally) could be that interested. However, it's a slow day at work, so I'll just sit here and type this while listening to Of Monsters and Men (check them out; I'm in Love Love Love). [link]
So what's some notable news...
Well, I graduated from college, almost a year ago. Yeah, that was a while back, but I didn't update it here, so..yes!
I'll be going back to grad school at some point soon...ish (99.1% sure of this) and until then, I'm working at a corporate architecture firm in DC (if you're crazy, let's hang out! Seriously, this whole "hiding-pink-hair-business"...driving me up the wall to draw cracked-out doodles on the ceiling).
I have a website now, simply for the sheer hell of it --I find it a nice little room I've made for myself in a small obscure corner of the Net, and I think I've mentioned it at least two times in my recent deviations. Anyhoo, 'tis located at this [link] and should still remain...unless gremlins have hijacked my domain, in which case there's some serious house-cleaning to be had and it'll probably be years before I write another journal, again. But that was probably the case anyway .__.
Ooh! Also, if you're into that, let's tumble together here (Hah, and you thought we were going to frolick in the fields and stain our hems and backs green in suggestive ways *waggles eyebrows virtually for I have no such skill in real life* ) Really though, the place is quickly becoming a new obsession: it's just so easy to endlessly roll through art and art and art...freakin' amazing. And if you're a fellow artist on Tumblr, I'd surely love to consider following you! (also if you just post and reblog really awesome things, that's cool too
So yeah, 'til the next prominent interim 'twixt businesses, tell me your stories! What have you lovely turnips and turtles been up to?

Well, I don't have twitter, facebook or a website (although I should get one) but I'm quite active on Google+. Consider making an account there if you want to see what gibberish I rumble every day.
Account: [link]
I've noticed: you giggle a lot; do you snicker, smirk, chuckle...buffaw? Is that a word..? *googles* Oh, I'm switching letters again-- do you guffaw?
I don't know if I'd ever make a Google+ --not enough people I know on there, and I'm not that outgoing. But I do love tumbling on Tumblr =}
We'll let google be without his +. See you around
But now I have pink again! Albeit, much less than before, but it helps me retain some of my me-ness. And I encourage setting up a site! Even if it's for purposes like mine, aka. for the hellish fun of it
I welcome your following! Though please be careful where I lead us to, as I still don't know where I'm going... I think it's ok though, 'cause I'm following you back from wherever we end up ^^
Good luck on the college-ness, but even greater luck on your outfit as cosplaying sounds infinitely cooler and I've always wished to have an awesome cosplay time, even if just once.
That sounds great! Hair wise, I need it cut again
Thank you! I think that part of the fun, life wouldn't be as interesting if we knew where the road would take us. You're so poetic, it's wonderfull. You can see that in your art as well.
Thank you so much. I'm going as Ciel Phantomhive (from black butler) so it's all nice and frilly victorian-ness. If I get any decent photo's I'll post them on tumblr. I'm hoping it will be awesome, it's only my second convention but the first kinda flopped (my outfit didn't come together well). I think you'd be good at cosplay, the outfits you put together for your stock as well as main photography is so well put together! My ideal would be a situation where I had a few friends to cosplay with, then it wouldn't matter if you were at a convention or not. Have you ever considered it? Or has life just been a bit hecktick?
And I quite loved that phase too! Oh the glory days of college freedom... I remember how it took four hours at Aveda and how unhappy my mum was when I came home.. Funny: she liked it better when I put colors like green and pink in it because "it's not so big a contrast now!" You'd think most mothers would be the opposite, haha
Do something crazy awesome with it! Really, you only get until just before the end of college to seriously goof off. I ought to have gotten a mohawk back in freshman year, just for the hell of it.
(You are much too kind with your praise --I think poetic is an adjective I quite like being associated with, and I'm very glad it shows in my work
I just saw your cosplaying awesome on Tumblr, actually! Gosh, you really do make me miss the obsessive infatuation I had with the Gothic Lolita style; the outfits were lovely! It's a good thing I recently decided to check a few episodes of Black Butler out then, otherwise I'd be a bit more clueless.
I'm quite very happy you appreciate my (strange) fashion --actually, yesterday I went to the national arboretum and took some photos with Xun, but since moving away from my "costume closet" back home, you guys will have to put up with my everyday clothes...
I did go to a convention once. I think it fell on Halloween too, so I just went in some random crazy outfit because I didn't have time to make anything (in fact, I had to do some homework while there =/ ) So yours would be my ideal too, except I'd make sure I didn't have schoolwork to do. And life is actually calm enough that I could go to another convention if 1.) I could find one very nearby, and 2.) I hadn't moved away from my closest of friends who also appreciate general nerdy silliness like me..it's so hard for me to make such friends in a corporate setting .__.
Yeah, haha, it's wonderfull that your mum lets you do that. Mine's a bit the same.
Right! ( that seiriously makes me want to cut it like Ciel's and dye in blue, haha) But red strikes in short hair was good fun, so I might do that again. That wouls have been awsome to see!
(noo, I'm really not. You deserve it! Poetic is awsome ^_^ )
Thanks! They were, made me wish I could make/buy one that minute! I just love all of Ciel's outfits, they're really pretty. I'm wanting to get/make a more fancy costume for him next year. Good timeing! I mainly read the manga,I began reading it about 6 months back, I can't even remember why.
Appreciate? I love it! I've never been one to follow the norm with regards to fashion. Oh, that sounds like fun. Did you guys have a good day there? Even your everyday clother are nice, so I don't mind, but yeah, I really loved some of the creations from the "costume closet".
Last year was a bit like that for me. (it wasn't on halloween though) I went as some random Aerith (FF 7) The only thing 'Arith' about my dress was that it was pink. Aww, that must have been anoying. The on I went to is the only one within a decent traveling distance, it's so hard to find good ones near where ever you are. I really wish I some friends like that, I thunk that's half the fun of a convention; to mess around with your friends in cosplay. Is there anyway you could meet up with them or is it a country distance thing? Tell me about it
(I jest...but not really
I want to read manga more. For instance, I watched Claymore a few months back, and my friend referred me to the manga, which is still ongoing and she thinks I'd like it a lot more, as she does (and we're pretty similar in tastes, so that's probably true). But I've yet to check it out: it is a lot easier to multitask with a show playing in the background: hard to draw pictures and edit photos otherwise. Now, if I had chameleon eyes that'd change all perspectives (ahaHAH! what a pun...
I'm glad we shun the normalcy of fashion trends --best to like things because you like them, not 'cause someone else says so.
I do miss my costume closet though. We had a very nice time at the arboretum --garnered some strange looks and giggles with my random beholding of invisible faeries in the air --probably would'a been worse/better if I'd been touting around a giant petticoat too.
Half the fun of anything fun is enjoying it with goofy friends! 8D
I think we have made tentative plans for some convention near my hometown...but that's at X-number of years down the future, so who knows if it'll happen =/
We're all in the same country of the US of A, just doing our own things. I think it'd be really cool if I wasn't a socially awkward person and could instantly make good friends on the spot --then I could go to any conventions with strangers. I'd go with you if you weren't across the pond! You seem like a cool lady
I keep finding there are a lot of anime and manga I don't know of, but so far, none suggested have grabbed me. What's Claymore about? I'm just one of those people who lack the ability to mutitask, I even find it hard to write somtimes if I have music with lyrics on.
It's lovely to find someone who agrees with me. When I think about mainstreem fashion I'm somtimes at a loss for why people follow it.
Haha, sounds fun though, and what if the faeries were invisible which is why the couldn't see them?
One day I really want to do that, just cosplay and have fun with a few friends. XD Well hopefully you guys can all get time off around then. Well at least you have a plan so there is a chance of it happening.
I see. I don't think I could ever go to a convention on my own, with out some one I knew, I'm okay with the making friends (well acuaintances) on the spot, the problem comes when I'm far to shy to be the first to talk so I end up not talking to anyone. I'm a bit of a 'let the other person do something first' person. I think I can be a bit sesetive as well, my confidence gets knoked easily. Have you ever had the situation when you're trying to make friend and talk to some one and you can tell the conversation is strained and it just becomes awkward? (random question
Now that wouldn't be such a loony idea! But yeah, ( now the image of me getting on a plane in cosplay, that woould be interesting, haha) every one I meet on the internet that sems nice is sooo far away.
