The contrast between the colors is powerful and produces a strong effect upon the viewer. I'm no personal fan of pink, but in combination with black and deep green, it goes quite well.
And as you said: there is no connection between the photo and the title. But this is good: it makes the viewer wonder what you wanted to suggest
