The Rorschach Inkblot Test is a psychological test that utilizes perception of inkblots to examine a person’s personality characteristics and emotional functioning. It uses the interpretation of ambiguous designs to detect underlying thought disorders. The creator of this technique is Hermann Rorschach. Symmetry is often used to supply part of the necessary artistic composition; it may lead to some stereotyped answers, but it makes possible the interpretation of whole scenes.
